After receiving her Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of South Carolina, Mary came to Birmingham and became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 1983. She worked in the Vocational Rehabilitation field for a number of years, but became interested in working with people for short-term counseling. She began to study hypnosis and became certified in clinical hypnosis in 2006 by the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH). She was trained to do past life regression by Dr. Brian Weiss. To further her counseling skills, she has completed the basic training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She specializes in hypnosis for chronic pain and EMDR for trauma.
