Clinical hypnosis is often helpful in treating chronic pain, phobias, anxiety, habits (such as smoking), as well as other conditions which can be helped by therapy.  Those trained in clinical hypnosis are therapists or professionals who regularly come in contact with people as a major part of  their professions (ie: physicians, dentists, and registered nurses).  The American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) is held in high regard, and certifies only those professionals who meet the qualifications set by the Society.  Mary is certified by ASCH and is licensed by the state of Alabama as a professional counselor.
